Dangote Targets 28.25mmtpa from Nigerian Plants by Year-End

The management of Dangote Cement Plc says it currently produces 19.25 million metric tons (mmt) of cement from its three Nigerian plants in Obajana (Kogi), Gboko (Benue) and Ibese (Ogun), with plans to increase capacity by additional 9mmtpa by year end.
Addressing the company’s distributors in the South West at a forum on Thursday in Ibadan, Oyo State, the Executive Director, Sales and Marketing, Knut Ulvmoen, explained that capacity would be added from the six million mtpa new lines in Ibese and three million mtpa new lines in Obajana. Ulvmoen said the forum would be a regular feature to interface with the distributors and other customers to know areas of collaboration and mutual agreement so as to serve them better. According to him, the views gathered from the distributors would help Dangote Cement to improve on its service to the customers from payment for products to final delivery. The Dangote Executive Director added that the company intensified research efforts so as to produce quality products of international standard and at a competitive price.
